Arrived in England from Canada's Montreal Impact in 1996, signing for Darlington where he made 52 appearances, scoring six goals. He headed north to Scotland two years later, joining Dundee United in a £400,000 deal and became a popular figure at Tannadice, clocking up 111 appearances for the club. Wigan paid £500,000 for him in 2001 and he was soon installed as skipper at the JJB Stadium, playing a prominent part in the Latics' Second Division Championship campaign in 2002/03. Joined Town on a free transfer in the summer of 2004. Signed a new two year deal in the summer and has replaced Jim Magilton as club skipper. Retired from international football after winning close on 50 caps for Canada.
