One of a number of Republic of Ireland youngsters at the Club's Academy, Shane was in goal when Town beat Southampton to lift the FA Youth Cup Final in 2005. Capped by his country at various youth levels. A keen Gaelic football fan, he established himself as first choice at Portman Road in 2005/06, making his Town debut at Leicester in August.
