Surgery on Jon Walters has gone well with the striker given an expected recovery period of six weeks.

Town's leading scorer went under the knife to cure a cartilage problem, with knee specialist Mark Bowditch carrying out the operation.

"Mr Bowditch is very happy with the way the surgery went and confirmed that we are looking at probably six weeks on the sidelines for Jon," Town physio Matt Byard told the Club website.

"He will begin his rehab in the next day or two in the deep water tank and we will then step it up slowly from there."
