Jim Magilton had praise for Neil Alexander and the opposition after Town were pegged back in a thrilling derby at Carrow Road.

Blues led through first-half goals from Alan Lee and Pablo Counago but had to settle for a point after the Canaries staged a second-half revival with Martin Taylor and Jamie Cureton getting on the scoresheet in a 2-2 draw.

Neil made three top class saves during the game and Jim said: "Our 'keeper was at his best and kept us in the game at stages in the second-half.

"You have to give Norwich credit as well. I expected them to give us problems when I saw their line-up before the game and so it proved.

"They had a new manager in charge for his first game and that worked for them as well and we had to work very hard to get something out of the game.

"I was very pleased with our first-half performance and we took our chances, while they missed theirs.

"We were disappointing in the second-half though. We gave the ball away cheaply and when you do that, you invite pressure.

"The two goals were sloppy defending. If we had defended properly then we wouldn't have let them back in the game.

"While we are disappointed to have not taken the win after being two goals up, it's another point on our travels and something to build on ahead of another tough game at Sheffield on Tuesday night."

The draw extends Town's unbeaten run to six games.
