BIG CROWD FOR DERBY DAY
Portman Road is set to host the biggest crowd of the season when Town take on Colchester next Tuesday night.
George Williams' side will be cheered on by a strong backing in the first derby of the campaign with the Us taking their full allocation of 2,200 tickets.
The biggest gate at Portman Road this season was the 24,000 that attended the opening day win over Crystal Palace but Town Ticket Office Manager, John Ford, expects that figure to be beaten next week.
"Colchester have taken their full quota of tickets and have virtually sold out," John told the Club website.
"It's the first time this season that a club has taken 2,200 tickets so that should help create a cracking atmosphere.
"We are selling tickets every day and we're looking at our biggest crowd of the season but there are still some good seats left."
The game is all ticket but Town fans can buy a ticket on the day from the Ticket Office up until kick-off. There will be no cash turnstiles in operation.
